Soooo much happening, time for updates. My web creator was in a bad crash and life-flighted to Springfield, Mo. I believe he is going to be ok. But I need to change some ref numbers and schedule. My contact number is now : 417-321-1184. My new email is: fleenerbobby@yahoo.com. Class#1, is Tuesday from 6:00PM-???. Class#2, is Saturday morning from 8:00AM-10:00AM. Jejas, remember, testing in September, but only for those few who qualify, and have learned their new Pumse. It has been and always will be quality vs quantity. On a more somber note: Sept 11th, 2010, will be 9 years since we were attacked, as Americans, by Terrorists. Let us remember those who perished, and those injured, and those heroes in those difficult days. Let us keep all whom suffered, in our prayers. Sensei Fleener

Summer is upon us and School is out, but remember that not all classes have been postponed for the summer. No not at all. Classes here at SCMA are still going on in full swing. Remember that there are upcoming Tournaments and Belt Tests that you must prepare for.

We will take a break for the 129th Annual El Dorado Springs Picnic to be celebrated on July 15-17, 2010. There will be NO class on Thursday, July 15th due to the fact that the rides and fun booths will be blocking up most of Main Street and that some of us like Mr. Fleener has to do some cooking duties. Please pay Mr. Fleener and the Optimist's Burger stand a visit during the El Do Mo Picnic. Have Fun and be Safe.

On Saturday, March 13th, the Spring City Martial Arts crew, traveled to Lenexa,Ks, for a sanctioned Pro-Am Open Karate tournament. We proudly represented our community, not to mention we had a lot of fun. We had 3 youngsters compete, and one new martial Artist, Katie Miller, who went as a spectator, for her fist tournament. I went to judge for the Pro-Am host, the honorable Mr. David Clifton, of the Lenexa/Overland Park area. I also advised our kids on ring location, etc.Our competitors and their respective placings, are as follows: Zayne Anderson, 1st Sparring, 2nd Forms; Chance Miller, 1st Forms, 2nd Sparring; and Matthew Trautman , 6th in the more Intermediate advanced Forms competition. I must add that Matthew showed great resolve and fortitude, amidst the seasoned KC group of 9 competitors. Trust me, 6th out of 10, in that group, is awesome. We only improve our skill levels, by competing at elevated levels of competition. Well done Je-Jas(students).I am so proud of you all, and how well behaved you all were. Also, Matthew's father, Charles Trautman, was able to travel from his military post at Ft. Riley, Ks., to watch Matthew compete. Thank you sir, for your service to our Country . Thank you to our great community and to those who help make our competitive trips a reality. Finally, as always, all of our glory goes to God. Sensei Fleener
